"Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe."

Lectors

Proclaiming the Word of God during the Liturgy of the Word is an important part of the Mass. Lectors fulfill a ministry that contextualizes our faith, as they proclaim from the Hebrew Scriptures, New Testament, and Psalms. They also give voice to our petitions during the Prayers of the Faithful.

Are you called to give voice to the Word of God?  Contact the Parish Office to find out more about being a Lector.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

During the Liturgy of the Eucharist, we celebrate the defining mystery of our Catholic faith. As the only Sacrament that is celebrated every single day, the Eucharist cleanses and connects us.  Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the celebrant in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Communion.

Are you called to share the Body of Christ with the faithful?  Contact the Parish Office to find out more about being an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the priest celebrant during the Sacrifice of the Mass. Servers, or acolytes, carry the cross, candles, hold the Roman Missal, and assist the priest celebrant during the Liturgy.

Are you called to serve at the Altar of Christ?  Contact the Parish Office to find out more about being an Altar Server.

Hospitality Ministry

We truly believe that All Are Welcome at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church. Hospitality Ministers are crucial to communicating this to our guests! They welcome congregants as they arrive, take up the collection offerings, ask for volunteers to bring up the Gifts at Offertory, and pass out the weekly Church Bulletins at the end of Mass.

Are you a welcoming spirit ready to help welcome our Parish Community? Contact the Parish Office to find out more about being a Hospitality Minister.
